Seasons Greetings to All You U3A “Over-the-Hill Mobsters”

Another year has almost flown by and again it has been a successful one. Apart from the November walk which was called off because of bad weather, we've had a good walk in generally reasonable weather, every month in 2017 in a wide range of locations and terrains.

Thanks to you all, the walks have been well attended, which makes it all worth while, with attendance usually in double figures. Many Thanks to the Leaders for ensuring interesting walks and getting us back safely. Thankfully there were no losses nor injuries reported this year.

The 2018 program is also attached, and again has many varied and interesting walks in different areas. Do mark them into your 2018 calendars and diaries, noting relevant Dumfries car parks and start times. Please let me know if there are any errors.

If you have access to the web, remember to occasionally check the www.u3adumfries.org.uk website, where you will find our current program and some photos. If any of you have any relevant photos, then please send them to Derek Whiterod, the U3A webmaster. Also any relevant article would be welcomed for the newsletter by Marion Matthews, the editor.

Do let me know if you have any constructive suggestions and also, do encourage any potential members to join our friendly walking group. If you wish to be removed from the mailing list then please let me know.

Lastly, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year which hopefully will include you enjoying some more of our friendly U3A “Over-the-Hill Mob” walks.

Cheers,

Frank Hall. Over-the-Hill Mob Group Leader. ------------------------------------------------------------
